What is a default notice?

A default notice is simply a record placed by a creditor on your file stating that you have defaulted on payment. This may have been done without your knowledge and unlike a CCJ you can not have a default removed without the consent of the creditor/lender.

Any defaults listed can be viewed on your credit file.

Best Wishes, Susan.
